Information We Collect
Information collected directly
Bomisco collects personal data regarding individuals associated with its current, prospective, and former clients and customers, and, with respect to the Bomisco site and Services, users, visitors, and guests (collectively “Individuals”).
We may collect personal data directly from Individuals, such as your name, address and email address, and other information that can be used to contact you. We will only collect such information where it is helpful for us to communicate with you, for example, to fulfill an order you place, register for one or more Services from us, or provide you with additional information you have requested or inform you about a new offering or development related to Services.
Information collected through the Services
We may collect personal data indirectly from individuals associated with our customers using our Services such as your name, address and email address, and other information that can be used to contact you and provide you access to our website and/or Services. The types of information and the use of such information collected through our Services shall be limited to the purpose of providing the Services for which the customer has engaged Bomisco.
Please note, if Bomisco collected personal data about you through someone other than you, we would encourage you to first direct your query to Bomisco’s customer (the data controller). Bomisco will support the data controller as requested.
Information from Third-Party Sources
We may collect data, such as corporate addresses or product pricing, from third-party sources to supplement information provided by our customers. This supplemental information allows us to verify information and to enhance our ability to provide information about our business, products, and Services. Bomisco’s agreements with these third-party sources typically limit how we may use this supplemental information.
Research/Survey Solicitations
From time to time, we may contact you to participate in online surveys. If you decide to participate, you may be asked to provide certain information which may include personal data. All information collected from your participation in our surveys is provided by you voluntarily. We may use such information to improve our products, sites and/or Services and in any manner consistent with the policies provided herein.
Mobile Devices
From time to time, we may provide Services that are specifically designed to be compatible and used on mobile devices. We will collect certain information that your mobile device sends when you use such Services, like a device identifier, user settings and the operating system of your device. Mobile versions of Bomisco’s Services may require that users log in with an account. In such cases, information about use of mobile versions of the Services may be associated with user accounts. In addition, Bomisco may enable individuals to download an application, widget, or other tool that can be used on mobile or other computing devices. Some of these tools may store information on mobile or other devices. These tools may transmit personal data to us to enable Individuals to access user accounts and to enable us to track use of these tools. Some of these tools may enable users to email reports and other information from the tool. Bomisco may use personal or non-identifiable information transmitted to us to enhance these tools, to develop new tools, for quality improvement and as otherwise described in this Policy or in other notices we provide.
Use of Cookies
As is true of most websites, we and third parties that provide content, advertising, or other functionality on our Services, gather certain information through the use of cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and similar technologies (“Technologies”) to automatically collect information through the Services. We use Technologies that are essentially small data files placed on your computer, tablet, mobile phone, or other devices (referred to collectively as a “device”) that allow us to record certain pieces of information whenever you visit or interact with our sites, services, applications, messaging, and tools, and to recognize you across devices. This information may include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, the files viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data. We use this information for a number of reasons, including to analyze trends, administer the website, and make improvements to the website and Services.
You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain features or functions on our website or Service.
Interest-Based Advertising
We partner with third parties to manage our advertising on other sites. These third parties may use cookies or similar technologies in order to provide you targeted advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to opt out of interest-based advertising, click http://preferences-mgr.truste.com/, or if located in the European Union, click https://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Please note you will continue to receive generic ads.
Pixel Tags/Web Beacons
We may use “pixel tags,” also known as “web beacons,” which are small graphic files that allow us to monitor the use of our website. A pixel tag can collect information such as the IP address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the tag appears; the URL of the page on which the pixel tag appears; the time the page containing the pixel tag was viewed; the browser type and language; the device type; geographic location; and the identification number of any cookie on the computer previously placed by that server. When corresponding with you via HTML capable email, we or our third-party service providers may use “format sensing” technology, which allows pixel tags to let us know whether you received and opened our email.
Analytics Information
We may also use Google Analytics and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting or a similar service, to collect information regarding visitor behavior and visitor demographics on our website, and to develop website content. This analytics data is not tied to any personal data. For more information about Google Analytics, click https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of Google’s collection and processing of data generated by your use of the Service by clicking https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
“Do Not Track”
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. DNT is a way for users to inform websites and services that they do not want certain information about their webpage visits collected over time and across websites or online services. Bomisco does not recognize or respond to browser-initiated DNT signals. For information about “do-not-track”, click https://allaboutdnt.com/.
Our uses of such Technologies fall into the following general categories:
- Operationally Necessary. We may use cookies, web beacons, or other similar technologies that are necessary to the operation of our sites, Services, applications, and tools. This includes technologies that allow you access to our sites, Services, applications, and tools; that are required to identify irregular site behavior, prevent fraudulent activity and improve security; or that allow you to make use of functions such as saved search or similar functions;
- Performance Related. We may use cookies, web beacons, or other similar technologies to assess the performance of our websites, applications, Services, and tools, including as part of our analytic practices to help us understand how our visitors use our websites, determine if you have interacted with our messaging, determine whether you have viewed an item or link, or to improve our website content, applications, Services, or tools;
- Functionality Related. We may use cookies, web beacons, or other similar technologies that allow us to offer you enhanced functionality when accessing or using our sites, Services, applications, or tools. This may include identifying you when you sign into our sites or keeping track of your specified preferences, interests, or past items viewed so that we may enhance the presentation of content on our sites;
- Advertising or Targeting Related. We may use first-party or third-party cookies and web beacons to deliver content, including ads relevant to your interests, on our sites or on third party sites. This includes using technologies to understand the usefulness to you of the advertisements and content that has been delivered to you, such as whether you have clicked on an advertisement.
If you would like to opt-out of the Technologies we employ on our sites, services, applications, or tools, you may do so by blocking, deleting, or disabling them as your browser or device permits.
